Uplifting Arts History
I started Uplifting Arts.com in 2001 where I sold handmade greeting cards. I soon expanded to unique items for your home, handbag, and your creative life. Products where sold online and in boutiques across the country.
Fast forward to early 2008 I decided to
close the online shop and concentrate on other endeavors. Bang POW, cut to NOW! the shopwill reopen late summer 2010. You can now find me here on Uplifting Arts and on my portfolio site (leahjesse.com) Posting pictures of squirrels on Flickr, or over at etsy oogling everything vintage and blue.Other creative explorations
In 2004 Partnered with Vanessa Brady I co-founded The Switchboards an online community connecting creative women in business.
Most recently I participated in the Sketchbook Project:
Like a concert tour but with sketchbooks, We send you the sketchbook, you make the art. Then Art House is taking all the sketchbooks on a 6 city tour to galleries and museums across the U.S. The goal of the exhibition is to encourage anyone to create artwork and build a collective of sketchbooks made by artists from all over the world.
Also to numerous to list (someday maybe) swaps, mini projects, online group creative projects, trades, non profit events, etc. etc.
